First of all, congratulations for having a bedtime routine. and a lovely routine too. We think the issue is not only about the blockednose as the paed has already prescribed the normal saline but rather it may be that baby is changing her bedtime. As baby gets older baby is more alert and active and may want to stay up later although that may not be recommended as baby may be too tired. we suggest we advise mother to continue to follow the bed time routine for baby and to start bed time earlier, preferable 8pm. Although baby may not sleep at 8, she need a period to unwind and to eventually fall alseep by or around 9pm. However in order to help a baby with blocked nose or cold to sleep better, place your baby to sleep on a slightly elevated mattress by placing a pillow UNDERNEATH the mattress. This will enable her to breath easier.
