Salam Haney, No, I don’t think it is genetic in your case since it has never occurred in your family. You are still young. PPH with cervical tear can occur in mothers whose uterus contract too strongly and the cervix hasn’t ripened fully to expel the baby, so it tears as a result. In older mothers, the problem is with atonic uterus (uterus won’t shrink by itself even after delivery), the mother just bleeds to death if bleeding is not stopped immediately. Foods and medications, anything that dilutes the blood, eg aspirin, can be a problem. Sometimes, if you buy outside food, especially beef curry, some cooks add Panadol, Aspirin or other drugs to breakdown the meat fibres and the meat becomes tender. It is OK if they only used papain (from papaya) to soften the beef before cooking. Panadol is cheaper and easier to use.
