The sooner a father really gets into parenting, the bigger the chance that he will stay ‘in the groove’ for the coming years, even decades. Show him that you know that your baby is being raised by a partnership, you and him. Show him that you cannot and will not do it alone. Read and discuss parenting books together, go shopping for baby items together, go to pregnancy and birthing classes together. After birth, actively involve the father in daily baby routines, let him change diapers, feed, bathe.
